40 Weeks!

And still cookin :)

I know lots are interested in how my appointment went this morning so we'll get right to it with an update. I'm 1cm. yay! better than nothing and the Dr. I saw this week agreed my Dr. last week was probably just being nice by telling me i was 1/2 a centimeter but this week I'm a LEGIT 1cm. :) They are having me come back Friday morning where I'll be checked again and no matter what I'll be induced either Monday or Tuesday of next week. Depending on how much more dilated I am on Friday will tell them when I need to come in to be induced. If I'm still only 1cm the induction will take a bit more work so they will have me come to the hospital Monday night. If by Friday I'm 2 or 3cm then I can wait and come in Tuesday morning for the induction since my body will have done more of the induction work naturally. Makes sense to me.... And of course I'm not loosing hope that little man and my body may still decide to do their thing naturally sometime in the next week.

On to the survey...

Size of baby: A watermelon. My guess is a almost 8 pounder!

Weight Gain: 168. 38 pounds and feeling like it.

Maternity clothes: strugglin. It's coooooold here and most my maternity tops are sleeveless. Solution? I paired a non maternity long sleeve shirt (that doesn't cover my belly) UNDER a maternity sleeveless shirt for the belly coverage. And all in all I really could care less at this stage in the game :)

Gender: It's a boy Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: Still moving good for me. Feeling feet and knees on my right side and his back/bum arch all through my middle section. Can't wait to see that little bum in person :)

Sleep: Getting worse for sure. The past couple nights I'll wake up to pee and it will take me a couple hours to fall back asleep. I'm either analyzing any contractions I'm feeling, or he's moving around a bunch at that time and keeping me awake. I def think we're going to have some work to do in straightening out this kids days and nights :) I'm not feeling ALL that tried during the day though I think this not sleeping as well thing is a great way to ease me into the sleepness nights with a newborn.

What I miss: Everything about not being pregnant. I think that sums it ALL up :)

Best Moment this week: Today, going to the Dr. having a came plan in mind and feeling better about where things are going. Last week was tough just thinking every day was the day and it wasn't. Yesterday was pretty great too shopping and lunching with a bestie :)

Looking forward to: Having this baby! And holding him and kissing him, and changing his diaper and feeding him. All of it!

Cravings: none

Symptoms: Lots of contractions but they never get progressively worse and they always seems to go away at some point. Back soreness, harder time sleeping, nasal congestion especially at night I can't breath through my nose.

Well it's been fun! Considering I'll be induced next tuesday I'm gonna say this is the last weekly survey. Thanks for following and BIG thanks for all your kind words of encouragement you guys bring every week. Your sweet sweet people! xoxo

39 Weeks!

A part of me really hoped I wouldn't get to this post and baby would be here in my arms already BUT that's not the case so here goes...

Size: Still a watermelon. Probably a 7 pounder by now I'm sure of it!

Weight gain: 166 at today's appointment. 36 pounds gained.

Maternity Clothes: I headed to Express last week and purchased a couple pairs of black yoga pants. As you can see below they are my new go to :) I'm only working a couple days a week now but when I do have to dress for the office I'm really rotating between two pairs of maternity work pants and two maternity cotton dresses.

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V.

Movement: His movement has DEF changed over the past week. Movement has decreased and is more compact. Little pokes here or there or I'll see one side of my stomach go up not so much waves anymore. Space is tight in there I'm sure!

Sleep: Pretty good, up only once usually, but moving positions a lot to get comfy. I'm sleeping though no just laying in bed awake and that's a GREAT thing!

What I miss: I think what I miss most is still snuggling with Hunter. I build what Hunter calls "my nest" when i get into bed which consists of no joke 3 regular pillows, one body pillow, and one euro size pillow. Hunter I know is also looking forward to sleeping with less pillows on our bed, he has made that comment a couple times :)

Best Moment this week: Having tuesday and wednesday off work to continue to get things done and relax. I finished making some burp cloths, kept the house clean, read up some more of my baby books, and have taken Jake for long walks everyday. With each passing day, I feel more and more ready to meet our little one!

Looking forward to: of course, having this baby!

Cravings: None, oh wait...I did request McDonalds for dinner on Monday night. That was yummy, but then craved and consumed salad last night probably out of quilt.

Symptoms: So far the story goes, Sunday we walked and I cramped/felt pelvic pressure down there off and on sunday. It was more uncomfortable, not painful and random so I knew it was nothing. Monday after work we walked. I felt LOTS of menstraul like pain/burning sensation and pressure from about 10pm til 11:30 or so. It was pretty consistent every 10-15 minutes but not getting worse. Also, at that same time the baby was moving a TON...more than usual. I still to this day don't know if my pain was from him moving, or if I was having braxton hicks contractions and the contractions where making him move. I'm thinking the latter because at times in that 1.5hrs I could feel him move and it wouldnt hurt. Either way, what does it matter...by the time I layed my head on the pillow for bed all was calm and pain free again :) Then yesterday...tuesday, I walked again our same route and felt nothing all day.

Today I walked before my Dr's appt...secretly hoping it would start some contractions for my appt. ha! The Dr. did say my uterus was super thin and baby's head was very very low (which explains all the pressure I feel down there) but I'm only about 1/2 centimeter dialated. Just need some good strong contractions to open me up and baby will be ready to come on out!

38 weeks!

Size: I'm, I mean he's still the size of a watermelon :)

Weight Gain: 165.5. The nurse and her darn .5's. I could just snip it off the end but this is honesty at it's finest. She told me yesterday 165.5. 35.5 pounds. Thank GOSH there's only 2 weeks left of weight gain this number is getting scary!

Maternity Clothes: I had all summer clothes and now that the weather is cooler I have nada. I hated to do it but Hunter and I ran out to Kohls on Saturday so I could buy a long sleeve maternity shirt that fit. 20 bucks well spent considering I've already worn the shirt twice since Saturday. ha! wear, repeat, wear, repeat that's my maternity clothes modo.

Gender: It's a boy. Hunter Lee Lunsford V Little tidbit...If Hunter V is born on October 21st he will be the third Hunter in a row to be born on the 21st of the month. Hunter III is August 21st, Hunter IV is March 21st, Hunter V October 21st??? Also, the "Hunters" are HUGE CARDINALS baseball fans. So with Hunter V being born AND the Cardinals entering the world serious life is GREAT in Hunter Lee Lunsford land. :)

Movement: The past two days I have finally felt decreased movement. I still feel him move but they are back to jabs and punches instead of the full belly waves. Maybe he's finally settling down for birth and running out of room in there?

Sleep: What do myself and a newborn baby have in common? It's a big deal when we both sleep through the night :) A few nights last week I'll wake up for the first time and its 6am I can't believe it! Other nights I'm up 4/5 times. Who knows, I'm sleeping though that's all that matters. On another sleeping note, Hunter V's first kicks in the morning are my favorite because I'm SOOO paranoid that I'm crushing him in my sleep or accidentally sleeping on my back to much. So when I wake up and feel him move I'm sooooooooo relieved!

What I miss: Standing close to counters. You don't realize til you have a big belly how far away from sinks you have to stand when your washing dishes or your hands. It's odd. What else do I miss? Ok, the occasional glass of wine would be nice at this point. And def looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again.

Best Moment this week: Seeing the nursery come together. The chair came in on Monday finally and getting a few things hung on the walls. We love it in there! The room puts off that prefect nursery feeling of coziness we had hoped for. :)

Here it is!

Photobucket

Looking forward to: Being in labor...ha! kinda serious though.... But in order to meet HLV!

Cravings: Anything sweet and chocolate. Not sure if its the halloween candy that I can't get away from or what but I LOVE sweets these days. Not good.

Symptoms: Pressure down there, lots o pelvic pressure. Frequent urination, slight headaches, leg achenes, nasal congestion, tiredness, and this might be TMI for some but this is my blog and my record keeper so I'm writing it...presence of colostrum. check. No stretch marks, and believe it or not have not once felt heart burn this whole pregnancy either. Overall still feeling very blessed with an easy pregnancy...especially considering the evil sciatica never came back!!!

Other notables:
I had yesterday off work! I decided 5 day weeks were too tiring at this point so I'm taking random days in the middle of the week. It's nice to have a day to keep up on laundry, keep the house clean, and keep well rested. Plus, I schedule my dr's appointments for those days off as well.

Speaking of appt an update from mine yesterday. So where we stood was my platelets where at 98,000 and the Dr's feared they needed to be at 100,000 in order for me to receive an epidural. I also have what are called GIANT platelets so they though perhaps they weren't being counted properly by the machines and ordered a manual count of my platelets along with a platelet function test. The manual count came back at 109,000 and the function test came back normal. yay! An epidural should be no problem if I feel the need to have one. However the numbers till scare the Dr's so as precaution they will most likely have my platelet type readily available during my labor and delivery in case I was to need a platelet transfusion. Better safe than sorry in their eyes I guess. Also, it was finally cleared up to me that my low B12 and hemoglobin levels (which are great now that I've been getting the weekly B12 shots) have NOTHING to do with my low platelet count. They are two totally separate issues. All said and done after the baby I'm going to go see a hematologists and get a full work up on all this blood nonsense :) Most importantly though, I feel like this is all just number issues and ultimately I'm healthy and baby's healthy!

Went for a prenatal massage yesterday and my massage man (who has 4 boys and guessed I was having a boy) massaged the pressure points in my feet to induce labor. Afterward he predicted baby to arrive Oct 22nd or 23rd. We'll see if he's right!

And had my first meltdown last night. I think the nerves of labor, fact that I'm going to be a mother, and tiredness of pregnancy all got the best of me. Hunter was sweet and it helped so much to hear him say and we are all in this together and will all be just fine because sometimes being that I'm the one carrying this child I feel so alone in it all! So emotional...I can feel the hormones coming on stronger...labors GOT to be close right? Man, and I know they are bad after the baby comes to, I'm trying not to think about that part...deep breaths one thing at a time.

Pictures: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of this week....

37 Weeks!

At my appointment this morning the Dr. came in and shook my hand and said congratulations baby is full term and ready, now we are just waiting on you! Cheers to a full term baby!

Size of baby: A watermelon. Need i say more...

Weight Gain: 164. 34 pounds. It is what it is not about to start worrying about weight gain at this point.

Maternity Clothes: It's all about the accessories. Scarves, necklaces, cardigans, jackets, cute shoes whatever I can do to take the attention away from the laaaaaaaaaamo clothes.

Gender: It's a bouncing baby boy!! Hunter Lee Lunsford V. come out come out where ever you are!

Movement: Still lots of movement. I hear that means he hasn't settled down to be ready for labor yet. Is this true? Settle down BOY! No in all honestly with every kick and poke I am thankful he is alive and well in there!

Sleep: Up one or two times in the night has turned to 4 times. It's no joke. Baby moves, I have to pee, that's how it works. In between potty breaks I'm sleeping ok but tossing and turning a lot. Switching from side to side and often dreaming I'm in labor or dreaming that I'm not sleeping good even though I think I'm sleeping.....has that ever happened to you all? happened to me the other night.

Here's a little conversation between husband and wife in regards to my sleeping. Hunter and I talk over a communicator thingy at work...it's quite convienent.

16:48 KRISTEN LUNSFORD : Do you just sense every night how awful im sleeping. I feel like your awake too
16:49 HUNTER LUNSFORD : yes
16:49 HUNTER LUNSFORD : that's why i don't want you doing much other than work till he comes.
16:50 KRISTEN LUNSFORD : Aww sweet hubby thanks
16:50 HUNTER LUNSFORD : i mean you can vaccuum if you feel the urge, but no running around.
16:50 KRISTEN LUNSFORD : Yes of course

Nice huh!? :)

What I miss: Being skinny, seeing body parts below my belly, cuddling with my husband in bed...it's hard to cuddle with a big belly in the way!

Best Moment this week: Having a three day weekend, spending time with Hunter, getting stuff done around the house and today of course hearing little mans heart beat.

Looking forward to: Meeting baby Hunter!! And our glider hopefully arriving tomorrow!

Cravings: M&M ice cream sand which cookies...they are like crack!! And NO these have NOTHING to do with my 4 pound weight gain in two weeks. ok, maybe they do a little.

Symptoms: leg cramps, some headaches, tiredness, back pain at times, nasal congestion, nose bleeds, slight swelling, frequent urination, pressure near the pelvis especially when walking or when he moves. Don't think I've had any contractions yet at least none that are painful. And still no stretch marks. yay!

Other notables: I feel like a pin cushion lately. On top of my weekly B12 shots from Hunter the Dr. has been drawing blood to test my hemoglobin levels weekly as well, AND this week I got a flu shot too. It was three shots within like 9 hrs. No fun! The results from my blood work taken at 36 weeks showed that my platelets levels had not changed....they remain at 96,000. My hemoglobin levels are good and anemia is all cleared up so the B12 shots are working but my platelet levels remain a challenge. Low platelets especially at 96,000 really is no harm to me or the baby and nothing to worry about it just has everything to do with the anesthesiologist. Some will not administer epidurals unless your platelets are above 100,000...others might think 96,000 is no big deal and give me an epidural without second thought. It all depends on who I get and how to "the book" they are. My Dr made a great point either way, he said "I'm not asking you right now if you want an epidural or not, bottom line I WANT it to be your decision to make when the time comes not the anesthesiologists decision." Agreed, so we're drawing blood every week in hopes by miracle my platelet level goes up....4k away we are soo close!

36 Weeks!

We had a 36 week Dr appt yesterday including ultrasounds so this weeks survey is filled with lots of fun Hunter V facts! :)

Size of baby: A large Cantalope. We were told he weighs 6 pounds 8oz right now and if he continues at this growth rate he should weigh around 7 pounds 12oz at birth.

Weight gain: 162. We're you ready for that, I sure wasn't when I saw it yesterday. oh well, whatcha gonna do. I'm healthy, babies healthy and we only have 4 more weeks. 32 pounds total weight gain so far.

Maternity clothes: As far as work goes I'm down to two dresses, two pairs of pants, 1 pair of jeans, and 2 long sleeve shirts that fit. Laundry is done often in our house now. I have lots of sleeveless shirts from the summer that I've been wearing under cardigans or jackets. On the weekends I don't really care...leggings, pjs, hunter's clothes, sweatpants. Whateve! :)

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: Same, good movement. After the ultrasound I understand why I feel all the pokes over on my right side. He has a knee, foot, and hands all over on that side. I know I don't quite understand how either... Also, his butt is up higher than I thought, she said its way up under my chest, and what I'm feeling that's hard around my belly button is his back. He's probably arching his back.

Sleep: I've slept better this week than last. I'm waking alot to switch left side to right because I wake up stiff from laying on one side but ultimately I'm sleeping.

What I miss: Excited to have my body back but I'm feeling better this week and trying to enjoy the last few weeks of his little kicks inside me.

Best Moment this week: of course seeing his sweet face on the ultrasound screen. I feel like the kicks and movements that I feel should make this real to me but actually seeing his face and what he looks like, brought it to a whole new level.

Looking forward to: Our glider!! I have a tracking number and it's suppose to be in a week from today october 12. This means we the weekend after it's in we can finish the nursery. Hang stuff on the walls, set up monitors, install carseats, pack a hospital bag. It's time!

Cravings: None, I'm still eating the same amount but actually find myself not really in the mood for anything at lunch or dinner. I sorta just pick something and it ends up tasting good.

Symptoms: Uncomfortableness. Is that a word? That pretty much describes everthing though. Sciatica has kept in check however I felt a differernt nerve pain in my inner right thigh sunday night. It only last a few hours, no compliants there. Little bit of swelling, although I'm thinking that could just be me getting fat too. ha! Defintely tire more easily when cleaning the house, walking etc. I think that's it though, could be lots worse. I was checked yesterday and my cervix is still as tight as can be. No really, that's how the dr. worded it to me. Nice! Thanks Doc.

Pictures.....eeeeeeeeeeeekk Sweet baby boy!!! :) The cord was in front of his face but she still mangaged to get a pretty good picture. Also it was confirmed that he has hair!

Can you believe that little guy above is in this belly? I can't! Jakey is excited about his new little brother too! :)

34 Weeks!

6 weeks left, I can't hardly believe it! In some ways I feel like these next six weeks are going to fly by and in other ways feel as if they will drag. Either way I know I'm already counting down the days of work I have left. Depending on when little man decides to make his appearance we are looking around 25 days left at the 9-5er! whoot whoot!

Size of Baby: A pineapple. Yum...I had pineapple yogurt this week :) Hunter V is anywhere from 19 to 22 inches long and around 4.9 pounds!!

Weight Gain: I LOST two pounds!! I know I'm not suppose to be excited about this but I am, mainly because I can see by my belly growth that Hunter V is still growing big and strong. I was 158 at my 32 week appointment and was 156 at my 34 week...marking total weight gain so far at 26 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: ARE TIGHT! I've been getting creative...dresses have become shirts, and I live for accessories to distract from my boring clothes. Necklaces, scarves, cute shoes. what eve. With the weather cooling off I'm looking forward to sporting some comfy leggings these next 6 weeks.

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: Strong whole body movements. Baby's whole body...not mine :) It's really, truly amazing. I saw a hand/foot/elbow (have no idea what it was) poke out of my stomach so far last night my jaw dropped. The major movements like that are at night right when I get into bed, its like he's stretching out and getting relaxed himself after a long day. I'm going to start to keep our little video camera next to my bed and try to catch some of these on tape. A lot of time Hunter IV misses them too because I go to bed earlier than him so he's still downstairs watching tv.

Sleep: Sleeping good, Hunter's movements are stronger so they are waking me up a bit more but feel like I'd be up anyways to pee at that time. Just thankful I have no trouble falling asleep. I know with all of the excitement and things going on lots of women at this time can't keep their mind from running mine seems to be shutting off pretty nicely.

What I miss: Pants that button. I feel like for 8 months now I've worn pants with elastic waist or my pants unbutton with a belly band. I long for the day to slip on a pair of jeans and button them like normal :)

Best Moment this week: Probably our Dr's appt. Always nice to hear his heartbeat, and we got two pieces of exciting news. Dr confirmed he was head down, YAY! But also said to be sure he would do an ultrasound for us at 36 weeks! We get to see our little man again soon :) I can't WAIT to see his little face and body parts up on that screen, so exciting!

Looking forward to: Our baby Moon! 4 days of total relaxation in our future.

Cravings: Newks makes this toasted chicken salad sand which that is SUPER yummy....think I'll have that today for lunch. Still loving the banana pudding ice cream at night and in the morning I really do sorta crave yogurt, might be more out of habit. Coffee is starting to soot me again as well, that might be the cooler weather too.

Symptoms: We have a new one this week. Major PAIN in my left butt cheek! I don't know if I pulled a muscle cleaning on Sunday or if its pregnancy sciatica but I can barely walk. I walk like an 80 year old trying not to bear weight on my left leg because every time I do it shoots pain in my butt and down my leg. Oh it hurts so bad. It started on Monday and has gradually gotten worse, today being the worst day yet. I just took Tylenol for the first time this morning and hoping that helps. Tonight I'll try some heat/ice and see what that does. Ultimately, I'm hoping this is just temporary and after a few days of rest this weekend it will feel better because I certainly can't live like this for the next 6 weeks. Scary. Other than my butt pain I'm feeling pretty good. Little tired as to be expected but no swelling yet which is nice. Hunter said last night to me he couldn't believe how all belly I was. He was certain I was going to be one of those pregnant women that carried baby EVERYWHERE and I agree with him. I was certain at this stage my wedding rings wouldn't fit and they do still! Lastly, some shortness of breath, and belly achenes both from him growing and his strong movements are making the list.

Other notables: my shot hurt this week. ouch :( We have alittle Tuesday night routine now, I get my shot and then Hunter takes a bump pic. With the camera being out I snapped this of Hunter before he poked me....doesn't he look just a TAD bit too Excited to stick me with that thing? BTW the B12 is red, that's not blood :)

Photobucket
Oh and he had just gotten back from his softball game...he'd want me to justify his appearance in this pic :)

Our next appt at 36 weeks is a big one I feel like. They are repeating my blood work to see if my levels have raised, we have the ultrasounds, and I should be checked for the first time to see if I've dilated at all yet...that along with the Group B test.

Our birthing class went well on Monday night too! I think both Hunter and I left feeling much more prepared in regards to how to know I'm in labor, when to go to the hospital and what to expect as far as labor progression and pain. We also got a tour of the maternity ward. The rooms are HUGE, at this hospital you deliver and stay in the same room the whole time your there.

As far as the nursery goes Hunter hung curtains on Monday night and I washed his crib bedding last night. Making small progress but STILL waiting on our glider that we ordered THIRTEEN weeks ago. USA baby is the devil. I haven't heard of any of our friends getting their orders in the time frame they say it will come in. If you are ordering anything from USA baby EVER give them like 17 weeks! They will lie to you though and tell you 6 to 8weeks. JERKS. GRRRR

33 Weeks!

I must say I love that I've kept up with the weekly posts because I'm already finding it neat to look back to the earlier weeks but I sure am tired of doing them. Oh well such as life...I really want to have them all to make into a book at the end. Here goes...

Size of baby: A Honeydew! 19 inches long and around 4.5 pounds.

Weight Gain: I'm sure I've gained the standard pound since last week so we'll go with 159. Oh so close to that 160 mark. 29 pounds since my 130 starting weight.

Maternity Clothes: It's starting to get a tad cooler so I've been able to wear a pair of maternity jeans I purchased from Oldnavy in the beginning of the pregnancy. It's been a nice change from the shorts on the weekends. Rotating the same old maternity work pants and t-shirts TRYING to spice things up with different jackets, scarfs or jewelry. I actually got a little creative this week, loving two of my outfits I wore Wednesday and today. I'll post them in a what I wore next week!

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: Little guy lets me know he's awake most mornings before we get out of bed. Then I feel him for a good 30 mins to an hour in late morning. He'll nap for a good bit of the afternoon and then wake up around 5ish for a few stretches. Back to bed he goes until after dinner where he's nice and lively after soaking in all the yumminess I just gave him. I think its interesting that the pregnancy books says I will notice him sleeping a bit more from now until delivery day because he is resting up for the big event! Also - his movements now are VERY strong and often time hurt! This is because there is more baby than amniotic fluid in my belly now. Less fluid means less cushion from the blows so I feel them more.

Sleep: Sleeping well on both sides! I feel VERY blessed to not be having any trouble on this front.

What I miss: Non maternity clothes and feeling small :)

Best Moment this week: Going to the the ECU/VT football game I received so many compliments from strangers saying how cute I looked or how I was all belly. People really are sooo sweet to pregnant women for the most part and they really do wonders on my body image confidence.

Looking forward to: NESTING!! I got it, it's kicked in and I can't WAIT to get my hands on our house. I'll be cleaning, throwing shiz away, organizing our office desk drawers, closets, dresser drawers and not to mention decorating for fall. Oh and finishing little guys room! We'll get there, he just needs to stay put!

Cravings: Banana pudding ice cream. New fav! Oh and those prior mentioned pumpkin pie pop tarts...those are pretty rad too. Currently craving a chimichanga from Cantina as well, thanks John and Linds! :)

Symptoms: TIRED especially after working a long day. I'm all congested and sneezy at work not sure what that's all about. My left butt cheek hurts too, when I walk I get a sharp pain in it....I'm assuming baby is just pressing on some nerve or something that is causing this. Lower back soreness, shortness of breath, tummy achenes from it growing and him kicking/moving. All pretty standard stuff considering. No swelling or stretch marks as of yet!

Side notes: The shots are still going well, this weeks went just as smooth as last weeks. Jake is definitely aware that something is up. He's always laying on my belly when I'm on the couch in three mornings now I have found him laying in the middle of the babies room for no apparent reason. Poor little puppy I keep promising him and Hunter will be best buds and his life is just going to get better! We also have our first birthing class this coming Monday night. Looking forward to that :)

32 Weeks!

Size of Baby: Still a head of lettuce BUT 19 inches this week and 3.9 pounds on average!

Weight Gain: Weighed in at 158 yesterday. 28 pounds gained thus far.

Maternity Clothes: Actually today I'm wearing all non maternity clothes! A pair of work pants supported with a belly band and a flowy shirt. Although its a good feeling to still have my pants fit through the thighs and bum this is not normal! In actuality my maternity clothes are getting pretty tight and if you want true honesty...i have a few pairs of maternity pants that I refuse to wash because I don't think they will fit if I wash them, ha! So I wear them to work and then hang them back up when i get home. A little press with t he iron before i wear them next...and wala. Don't judge I don't get to dirty sitting at my desk at work and I'll wash them maybe in 6 weeks. ha!

Gender: Its a boy! Hunter lee Lunsford V

Movement: Lots still and I can tell he's growing because the movements are higher as well. I used to feel everything move from my belly button and below. Now I'll feel some movements in the space above my belly button!

Sleep: Pretty good! I've been sleeping more on my sides now with a body pillow and it seems to be working out. Up a couple times in the night to pee but what else is new.

What I miss: Nothing this week....trying to enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy but I think I'll be happy when I don't have a basketball in my stomach anymore.

Best Moment this week: Having Hunter's parents be able to see Hunter V move. Hunter IV was at the ECU football game with his sister and brother in law so it was just myself and my in laws at our house Saturday night. I was sitting on the couch and knew he was moving a good bit so I showed them my belly and told them to look. Right then a HUGE wave took over my stomach and from across the couch both of them had looks of amazement in their eyes. It was a great feeling having them be able to see their grandson move around and I know he made them proud already!!

Looking forward to: Nursery progress still! Didn't make any last weekend, and I don't see us making any this weekend either but we'll get there. I have NO plans the whole month of October so I'm looking forward to really "nesting" and getting everything ready that month.

Cravings: It's official....I can't be trusted in a grocery store. I stopped in to pick a prescription last night and I came home with....mac n cheese (from a box), frozen green beans, snickers, skittles, m&ms, gummy worms, and a people magazine! haha. Don't worry I didn't eat it all or even half of it and probably won't but in the moment it ALL looked sooo good! I've been on a mint chocolate chip ice cream kick at night too. And I can't just have one bowl....I always go back for a second. gah!

Symptoms: Soooooooooo tired! But we've been busy people and last night I got my B12 shot and I already feel a bit more energy today. Other than that some stomach achenes just from him moving around all the time, and still congested a bit. No swelling and no stretch marks yet!

Other notables: We had two Dr's appts at 32 weeks on Tuesday. We first met with our pediatrician and then headed over to my OB appt. Its a good feeling to have been to the pediatricians office now and know a little bit more of what to expect on that front. As far as my appt went my blood pressure is good, weight is good, and baby is growing right on schedule. The Dr. confirmed that he is very healthy and all this lack of B12, folic acid, low hemoglobin anemia stuff is ONLY effecting me and not him at all. Hunter V is getting all that he needs! I figured as much but its always nice to hear the Dr. say it. My platelet level was at 96,000 and they do like it to be above 100,000 in order to give an epidural but its not written in stone anywhere. Plus, after these 8 weeks of injections and extra folic acid that count should raise and I should have no issues with my levels come D day! They are redrawing blood to see where my levels are at 36 weeks.

Also, Hunter gave me my first shot last night and it went waaaaaaaaaaay better than expected!! He should have been a Dr! When the Dr gave it to me last week it hurt so bad that I was expecting it to hurt even worse when Hunter gave it to me. BUT it didn't hurt AT ALL!!! I don't know if our prescription needles where better than the dr. office needles or if Hunter just did a better job at giving it to me but it was painless! I think we're gonna be JUUUUUUst fine these next 8 weeks :)

Pictures: At 32 weeks I think you all deserve a bare belly pic!

31 Weeks!

Size of Baby: Head of Lettuce. 18 inches and 3.2 pounds

Weight Gain: Didn't get weighed this week but probably floating somewhere around 157 and 158. 28 pounds from starting weight.

Maternity Clothes: Yep nothing but and I'm sooooo sick of them. Can't WAIT to buy some cute things this winter! 8.5 weeks but who's counting....

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: All the time. Daddy and I had lots of fun the other night laying in bed and just watching you move my stomach up and down. We started laughing because of it and everytime I would laugh my belly shook, then you went crazy when I stopped and the cycle continued. It was great entertainment! Also, when Daddy see's you going nuts in there and feels a hard kick he always says to you "take it easy on mommy buddy" haha, too cute! :)

Sleep: Pretty good, up a couple times in the night and this week sleeping on my side has been better. Baby Hunter doesnt seem to mind it as much.

What I miss: I want to go shopping for cute fall clothes sooooo bad right now!

Best Moment this week: The weekend with my family and my baby shower of course. It warms my heart to see how much Hunter V is loved already!!

Looking forward to: Getting the nursery completed. We have curtain rods/curtains to hang, a shelf, book rack, mirror, a nd picture frames all to hang on the walls. I need to wash all his clothes and put all the wonderful goodies from the shower in their place. Daddy Hunter walked in Hunter V's room the other day and said "it's wierd seeing my name everywhere" haha, I can imagine it is. :) Also looking forward to the start of college football season this weekend, cooler weather, and pumpkin spice lattes!

Cravings: This...will someone make it for me?? Libby pumpkin roll...

Symptoms: Nasal congestion! I'm so stuffed up today and sneezy. Tiredness...Nothing too bad but I could ALWAYS take an afternoon nap. I haven't felt any achiness in my stomach this week but it sure doesnt feel good with Hunter is moving so much that it feels like he's trying to come out of my belly button. I move him at least 10 times a day to a new spot because he's hurting me in his current location. Poor little guy always being poked at! Shortness of breath but still no swelling, no stretch marks, no heartburn, I really have no complaints and very little symptoms.

Other notables: Sooooo....long story long. When I recieved my glucose test results (which were negative by the way) they told me I had low hemoglobin levels and low platelet levels. Due to this they wanted to draw more blood at my next appointment and run some follow up tests (this was at last weeks appt). Monday I got those tests results back and they showed low B12 levels. As a result the Dr recommended I take 2 folic acid pills on top of my prenantal vitamins everyday and also get a weekly B12 injection shot. With the B12 injections Hunter and I decided it would be easier and save us a lot of money if he just learned to give me the shots at home. I know what your thinking I'm STILL thinking this....OH BOY! SCARED!! We went to the Dr yesterday, I recieved my first shot while the nurse trained Hunter on how to give them to me through the remainder of my pregnancy. Oh BOY! The first one he will give me will be next tuesday so i'll let you all know how it goes...haha. Hunter seems totally confident about doing it....I'm the only apprehensive one, not sure why :) ...oh wait, maybe because i'm the one who will be in pain!

Anywho, This is all I really know now. I have LOTS of questions to ask the Dr at my appt next week. Mainly just how all this is effecting the baby or has my low levels of folic acid, B12 HAD any effect on the baby?? Or is the baby getting what he needs and it's just ME who is lacking. (let's hope so!) I've read that this is called Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count caused by deficiency in vitamin B12 and folic acid and that they don't like to give epidurals to women who have a low platelet count because of the risk of bleeding. I'll be taking this up with the Dr as well to verify this information and get the truth! :)

Pictures: Say a prayer there is a 100% healthy baby boy in there! He seems to be moving and growing good!

30 Weeks!

Wow, can't believe we're here!

Size of baby: Butternut squash 17in, 3.1 pounds.

Weight Gain: 156.5. That's right .5. Why round up if you don't have to? No, in all honestly that's what the Dr. told me yesterday at my appointment. I've gained 26.5 pounds in 30 weeks, I'm pretty happy with this.

Maternity clothes: Yes! I'm finding I look better in dresses these days. Some maternity stuff that didn't look as cute early on is looking better now that my belly is bigger. Some of my maternity shirts are barely long enough to cover the bell so I'm tugging them down all the time. And I think i'm done squeezing myself into my non maternity pants for work. It's just too uncomfortable now. I'll rotate my three pairs of maternity pants for the next 10 weeks!

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: Is great! Little man let's me know he's doing well in there all the time. It's really interesting to feel him move a TON one day and then half as much the next. It's like he wears himself out and then catches up on sleep. I asked the Dr. what position she thought he was in and she said he's probably sideways. This makes sense to me since most all the movement I feel is across my middle extending from my left side to far right.

Sleep: Sleep is not as good as it was but could be worse. I wake up to pee a couple times and his movements wake me up as well now. I've mainly been sleeping on my back, propped up at an angle with pillows. I'm convinced Hunter HATES its when I move to sleep on my side because he kicks me like crazy (probably trying to get comfortable himself) until I reposition back to my back.

What I miss: I don't miss anything but maybe energy. I'm out of breath easily and my stomach is sooo hard and uncomfortable after I eat. Will be nice to not have that feeling anymore.

Best Moment this week: While at the beach husband Hunter ran to the store, with Chad, to pick up stuff for dinner. Carter took Reagan back up to the house so she could get a nap in. This left just Hunter V and I to ourselves relaxing on the beach, enjoying the ocean view for about a hour or so. He was kicking up a storm and all I could think about was that even though I'm technically alone right now, I didn't feel alone at all. I really felt like it was him and I spending some QT together. It was sweet :)

Looking forward to: It's Baby Shower weekend!!! My parents come into town friday night, brother/sister in law and niece come from NY saturday morning and I'll get to see lots more family and friends who have traveled from afar at the Shower on Sunday. Thanks to my girlfriends Lindsey and Kristin for organizing it, myself and the Hunter's are extremely grateful for all of you!!

Cravings: Hmmm not sure this was a craving but I def came home from target with one of these last night.

hahahaha Hunter would have have not been happy with me if I wasn't pregnant but because I am all he could do is just roll his eyes :)

Symptoms: Stomach achiness, tiredness, shortness of breath, nasal congestion. No swelling, no stretch marks, no braxton hicks, no heartburn all not fun stuff I have yet to experience. Next 10 weeks PLEASE be nice to me!

29 Weeks!

Work is soooo busy! Another day almost got away from me without doing this post but I'm NOT letting it.

Size of baby: Small Cabbage 17 inches long 2.9 pounds. Although he is almost his birth length baby will double if not triple his weight between now and birth.

Weight gain: 155 gained 25 pounds so far

Maternity clothes: For sure! Even some of my maternity clothes that I bought in the beginning are getting a bit snug. But I refuse to buy anything new for the next 11 weeks. I will squeeze into them by day and run around the house nekid by night. You think I'm kidding :)

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: I'm telling you, its unreal. I think the movement might be what has surprised me most throughout this pregnancy. I mean I knew I would feel the baby move but I had NO IDEA it would feel the way it does. This week it feels like he is just getting adjusted to the fact that he has less space in there now. I feel constant pokes, that hurt, and when I put my hand to the poke there is always a hard as can be knot right there. I read in the baby books it's most likely an elbow or knee at this point. This kid has some boney elbows and knees!

Sleep: Overall still pretty good but his movements are starting to make me feel more and more uncomfortable at night and preventing me from sleeping as deep as I was before.

What I miss: Bending over without a pain shooting to my stomach, and being able to groom myself in the shower. Not being able to see anything below the belly anymore makes it a weeee bit difficult.

Best Moment this week: Yeah I'm not gonna say feeling baby move anymore. Although I'm VERY thankful for his activeness, they hurt! I would say having friends and family that live far away getting to see you in my belly. I think it made everyone that much more excited to meet you!

Looking forward to: The BEACH!

Cravings: Hmmmmmmm don't think I've had any this week. Been so busy traveling and working I've been more eating to survive and give me energy to last through the days.

Symptoms: Abdominal soreness is number one these days. Tiredness at the end of the day. I wake up feeling energetic but by 5pm I'm ready for bed. Nasal congestion, bleeding gums when brush/flossing, frequent urination. No stretch marks or swelling yet. My back has felt pretty good lately too come to think of it.

Other things to note: I passed my glucose test but Dr. called saying I have low hemoglobin count and a low platelet count. So they will be taking more blood from me next week to monitor it. I have an appt next Tuesday and am now going to the Dr. every 2 weeks!
AND we've started reading our baby books to get ready for Hunter's arrival. Moms on call Guide to basic infant care. Thanks Heather and Eric :) If you haven't heard of Moms on call yet check out their website http://www.momsoncall.com/. I have heard NOTHING but positive reviews on their schedules, and tips. In fact every mom I've talked to has agreed following their recommended schedule had their baby sleeping through the night in the first month. Hope we are no different :) Sleeping baby aside, it also claims to tell you the things listed below and it's no lie. I learned all of the below and already feel much more prepared for Hunter's arrival.

This simple guide will .... tell you what to have on hand in preparation for your newborn's arrival• what symptoms warrant a trip to the emergency room• how to know if your baby is getting enough to eat• what to keep in your medicine cabinet to avoid a midnight trip to the pharmacy• how to get your baby to sleep through the night so you can too

28 Weeks!

Size of Baby: Head of Califlower - On average 16 inches in length and 2.5 pounds.

Weight Gain: Had a Dr's appointment today! Weighed in at 155 which is just where I was thinking. 25 pounds at week 28 I'm feeling pretty good about.

Maternity Clothes: Tops for sure, most pants and shorts. Still squezzing into a few pairs of my pre pregnancy pants and just tried on a pair of prepreggers jeans last night that i'll be able to pull off wearing this fall! Excited about that since I didn't want to spend the money on a pair of jeans for just a couple of months!

Gender: It's a boy!! Hunter Lee Lunsford V. I realized this week something annoying that we are probably going to have to get used to. EVERYONE (with the exception of our close friends and family) call him Hunter Jr. "How's Hunter Jr."? GAH, I want to correct them and say "Hunter V actually" but it's just not worth it all the time and from past experience when I do people look at me like I have five heads.

Movement: OH boy! Oh baby boy! Oh big baby boy in my belly you move like crazy and it makes mommies stomach drop. Your kicks are fewer and the rolls/waves are more often. The right side of my belly button has been super super hard for the past week or so and when I press on it your whole body moves in a wave throughout my belly. I think it's your bum or your head but not sure which one. You are one stubborn little boy though because after I move you, you go right back to where you were comfy. As uncomfortable and weird these feelings are for me though I love every one of them because it shows me you are healthy and happy in there! We love you sooo much already! (not sure why this section came out directed towards baby Hunter but it felt natural so I'll go with it ) :)

Sleep: Sleeping good! Up a couple times a night to pee but that aint' no thang!

What I miss: hmmm, why does this question always make me have to think? I know I miss something.....Ah, shopping!! With all the new fall lines coming out I'm just DYING to go shopping for cute normal clothes. Hoping I'm back to my prepreggers size pretty quickly so I purchase a few cute new winter things!

Best Moment this week: Hearing Hunter's BIG heartbeat today. It was louder and more powerful than in past appointments which tells me he's growing nice and strong!! Dr. said it was somewhere between 149 and 152. His huge movements are wonderful as well, weird and uncomfortable but just sooo cool!! I'm going to say Daddy Hunter agrees and I'm betting his best moment this week was feeling HLV in my belly last night. He couldn't believe how active he was...whole body movements and kicks.

Looking forward to: Traveling to Rochester NY this weekend to see friends and family who haven't gotten to see me pregnant (or very pregnant) yet. We are heading up friday morning for a girlfriends wedding. Congrats Nicole and Chris we can't WAIT to see you say your vows and we're soooo very happy for you guys :)

Cravings: Never got my mexican this week. I still want it but don't know if I would say i'm necessarily craving it. Now that I know we are heading to NY this weekend I'm craving Abbotts icecream, and a wegmans sub! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Symptoms: Frequent urinations, nasal congestions, stomach/side achiness, sore lower back. No swelling yet, or stretch marks I feel like I really don't have many sypmtoms. My easy pregnancy is making me nervous for the birth. Lord what do you have in store for me?? :)

Other notables: We purchased our car seat and stroller last weekend!! As lame as it sounds I was/am SUPER excited :)

The story goes....in honor of tax free weekend USA baby was offering 10% off and tax free on everything in the store. Including strollers! This is very rare for name brand strollers like UPPA baby to go on sale so we knew we wanted to take advantage. I was pretty certain they wouldnt' have one in stock and sure enough they told us they'd have to order it and it would take 4-6 weeks to come in. They also didn't carry the carseat that I wanted. Earlier that week I had read somewhere that buybuy baby matched all competitors coupons. Now I knew buy buy baby had our stoller and carseat, so coupon in hand we headed over there to see if they would match it. Sure enough they did!!! All you mama's out there, no matter where or what your coupon is for Buy buy baby will match it! They gave us 10% off and tax free on our Graco Carseat and UPPA baby stroller!!

Here's the stroller we went with. UPPA Baby Vista in color Cole Slate . Love this stroller and have heard nothing but RAVE reviews. It was given an A rating in the Baby Bargains book, and I love that you can buy a rumble seat attachement for it when we have two kids.

And our cute Graco Snugride carseat in Nolan :) Blue Blue and more Blue I'm not TRYING to buy this boy everything blue it just always happens to be the color I like best in things. Good thing Blue can be used for a girl too!

And while we are on the shopping topic I'm also super excited to wear THIS adorable dress this weekend! I purchased it to wear to not only to the wedding but to my shower in a couple weeks as well. I'm bummed I just discovered the More of Me maternity line. I absolutely adore all of their dresses and will DEF be purchasing more of these puppies next pregnancy to wear the whole time!

Photobucket

I can wear this, unbelted with bold jewelry as in the above picture. OR belted as a dress. OR this fall you can find me sporting it belted with skinny jeans. One comfy dress, three ways. SCORE :)

27 Weeks!

This week marks the beginning of my 3rd Trimester! yay!

Size of baby: I think I got ahead of myself last week. 27 weeks marks size of cucumber and this week we are making our way towards the size a head of cauliflower. Hunter is probably somewhere between 15.5 to 16 inches long (head to feet) and between 2 and 2.5 pounds.

Weight gain: Who knows! I haven't stepped on my scale at home. I have a Dr's appt next week August 9th, I'll let you all know then.

Maternity clothes: Yip! Mostly all tops, skirts, shorts, and pants. Still squeezing into a few pairs of my regular pants supported by a belly band.

Gender: It's a boy. Hunter Lee Lunsford V.

Movement: Every week he must be growing and taking up more space in my belly because the movements are getting stronger and more distinct. I feel two types of movements. The jabs/kicks and then the waves of movement across my belly. Both have completely different feelings I'm not good a describing. He's pretty regular though morning, and night for sure while I'm laying down and then during the day if I'm sitting at my desk. During the day on the weekends I don't feel him too much since I'm busy moving around.

Sleep: Sleeping good! Up a couple times to pee but it's such the norm now that I don't even feel like it bothers me.

What I miss: Don't miss anything this week. Not even my prepregnancy body. Liking being pregnant this week and trying to enjoy the bump!

Best Moment this week: Oooo might be his movements. They've just been so strong lately it's making him feel more and more real to me. Hunter put together the dresser for the nursery last night which was fun, it's great seeing the nursery come together.

Looking forward to: I can't stop thinking about fall so that's number one!!! The cool crisp fall air, pumpkin spice latte, VT football tailgates and knowing we are just a few short weeks away from meeting our little one. I can't WAIT for fall!! Also really looking forward to a few beach trips we have coming up need to enjoy the last bit of summer while its here, and my shower weekend where we will get to some some quality time with family we don't get to see as often as we'd like!

Cravings: Def want my Azteca mexican fix this week. Also a tuna melt on a bagel. Oh...maybe I'll get that today for lunch! Don't judge...one little tuna sand which won't hurt me :)

Symptoms: Here goes...these are the ones from the book that I have experienced.
- Occasional dizziness or faintness - experienced this once last week.
- Nasal congestion - still congested in the morning.
- Bleeding gums - my gums bleed when I brush and floss and they never used to.
- Skin, hair, nail changes - my skin has been doing well I do have the linea nigra line down my belly. My nails have been growing like weeds!
- Abdominal achiness in the front and along the sides more so.
- Increased appetite. Yep haven't slowed down in that department yet.
- Back pain - pretty minimal though...gets sore at the end of the day from sitting in my chair at work.
- On a happier note my bowels seem to be back to normal ( I know you all where worried about that!
- Leg cramps. Oh the leg cramps are the worst. I get achiness/pain in from my knee down but I also woke up screaming yesterday morning with the WORST charlie horse. I threw my leg on Hunter and told him to rub. He rub it out for me and couldn't believe how bad it was! My calf was sore the whole rest of the day.
- Protruding Naval - CHECK!
- Shortness of breath - I walked up the stairs the other day while on the phone with my brother. He asked if I was in labor...hahaha, nope just walked up the stairs and a little out of breath from it. :)
- No stretch marks yet.

26 weeks!!

Size of baby: A cucumber! 15 inches long and 2.2 pounds

Weight Gain: Not positive. My guess would be around 154 or so. Hopefully not more than that! Which would put me at gaining 24 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: Def all maternity tops unless it was a big flowy shirt I owned prepregnancy. I'm wearing a pair of my normal pants to work today with a belly band but I'm thinking I might only be able to get away with this for a couple more weeks. I think its so funny how when I was first pregnant I wanted to be in maternity clothes so badly and now I'm so excited when I wear my prepregnancy clothes.

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V.

Movement: I can tell he is growing in there and has less room to move around. His kicks are stronger and I'm feeling/seeing more waves of movement across my whole belly or one side. I'll also feel these little hard knots at times and when I push on them they move so I'm certain those are his little feet, elbow or something. During the week when I'm working he'll kick lots while I'm sitting at my desk, and then a lot at night when I get in bed. On the weekends since I get to sleep in a bit more I'll feel him in the morning while I'm still lying in bed.

Sleep: Good! Very grateful for this!! And I don't feel like I am as tired as I was last weekend either.

What I miss: My clothes not feeling tight. I pretty much strip as soon as I get home because I feel like everything I wear is restricting and uncomfortable. Even my maternity clothes. I like nothing more than to just be nekid! ha :)

Best moment this week: Seeing the nursery come together. I just adore it and can't wait to see Hunter sleeping or playing in his room on day. I also received my baby shower invitation on the mail!! Very exciting!! Thank you soooo much to my great friends Lindsey and Kristin for throwing me a shower!! xoxo

Looking forward to: Holding my baby boy!! GAH I can't wait!!!! We have two more relaxing weekends ahead of us and then for about 2 months straight we are busy busy busy with weddings, vacations, showers and football games. The business will be lots of fun and THEN...he'll be here!!! :)

Cravings: Hands down I think I officially have a craving. Azteca Mexican. Not any Mexican place it has to be Azteca! I LOVE there beans and rice and I always get the chimicanga. Hunter took me there last night and I could eat it again right now! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Symptoms: Ugh, I got one of those awful leg cramps last night. NO fun. My back is sore at times, and my stomach tight and achy especially after I eat. I'm really feeling great though. I have ZERO complaints.

Pictures: Taken on Tuesday before work when I was exactly 26 weeks.

25 Weeks!

Size of Baby: An Eggplant! We are officially in Month 6...all I can think about is how we have about 3 months to go. That just seems so soon! I can't wait :)

Weight Gain: As of last week I was at 21 pounds...I'll go with 22 this week.

Maternity clothes: Yes, most of the time. Lot's of maternity shorts and t-shirts on the weekends. To work I wear pants both maternity and non(with a belly band) and all maternity tops.

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: Lots. I love feeling my little boy move. I can feel it from the inside and see it on the outside. Today actually, I saw movement start at my belly button and ripple to my side. With every move I feel joy from reassurance that he is alive and well in there.

Sleep: Pretty good. Sleeping well, no swelling or stretch marks yet, never really felt super nauseous. This kid has been super nice to me so far. Let's keep that way little Hunter :)

What I miss: It's official I miss a glass of wine. Hunter and I used to enjoy a glass while we good our dinners now he has one alone :(, and watching all the drinking on the Bachelorette every week makes me want one. ha! Missing raw fish sushi lately too. I just googled to see if I could eat sushi while breast feeding because man I'm craving a good raw roll!

Best Moment this week: I had a lot of fun this past Saturday out on the lake with my little sister from big brothers big sisters. It was nice to concentrate on her for a day and not think to much about the pregnancy or myself. Saturday evening Hunter and I stopped into Lowes and picked out paint for the nursery, then headed to babies r us to pick up a shower gift, followed by a nice dinner. I'm pretty sure Hunter thought it was the lamest Saturday night ever but I thought it was nice :)

Looking forward to: Lately when sitting with Hunter in our living room at night I envision the future. I picture myself, Jake and my two Hunters snuggled up on the couch watching football with our fireplace warming the room. I can't wait :) In the more immediate future I'm looking forward to getting the nursery painted this weekend and possibly the crib put together!

Cravings: Sushi! And I really want one of those Digiorno frozen pizzas that come with the cookies. Yum! We saw a commerical for one last night and I told Hunter that's I wanted for dinner Friday night. He explained that we already have frozen pizza in the fridge so he could make that and just stop to get some break and bake cookies since it is essentially the same thing. I explained to him that it is NOT the same thing and I want them out of the same box! ha!

Symptoms: sooooooo tired. Not sure why, maybe because baby is growing big and taking up all my energy from me. who knows. I napped both Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon last weekend and I'm not normally a napper. Have felt a bit lightheaded at times in the past week too. Other than that, same old....stiff back, sensitive stomach on the inside, feeling of tightness on the outside.

24 weeks!

Size of baby: An ear of corn! About 8.5inches long and 1.5pounds in weight.

Weight Gain: It happened. I hit the 150 mark. Actually the 151 mark :( Have gained 21 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: Yes most of the time. I find that I look better in shorts/skirts and tops as oppose to dresses. Dresses just make me feel and look so much bigger than I am. I do sport a few of my regular pants still to work with the belly band. They come no where close to fitting in the waist of course but the fact that they still fit in the legs and buttocks is a good thing.

Gender: It's a boy! Hunter Lee Lunsford V

Movement: Lots! I can def tell little Hunter its growing because his kicks are getting stronger and stronger. Instead of little pokes her and there a few of them move my whole stomach. It's a weird feeling. And I swear last night I felt his little foot. I put my hand over where he was kicking me last night and pressed down gently...i felt the hardest little knob of something and then it moved. I think it was is foot! :)

Sleep: Pretty good, up twice a night to pee still so it's interrupted sleep but could be worse for sure.

What I miss: Feeling normal and my old body. I'm really trying hard to enjoy these last couple months of pregnancy because I know it will go by fast but man I'll be happy to just have the little guy in my arms instead and this basketball out of my stomach!

Best Moment this week: hmmmm, well we had a Dr's appt last Wednesday. Always great to hear the heartbeat. Everytime the nurse would put the dopler on him we'd hear his heartbeat and then he would move. She eventually asked me "He keeps moving from em, are you feeling that?" I laughed and said Yep! Little Hunter says "Get that machine away from me..."

Looking forward to: OH soo much!! It's not all necessarily around the corner but I'm looking forward to more nursery progress, our trip to Rochester NY in August, my shower weekend with lots of family in town from far away, our birthing classes, football season starting and our baby moon! It's going to be a busy 3 months! :)

Cravings: mmmmmmm, soft serve ice cream. Really craving that right now but what's with the new thing I'm hearing that pregnant women shouldn't eat soft serve because of the risk of Listeria in the machines from old ice cream accumulating at the bottom. UGH! can we eat ANYTHING! ????

Symptoms: Lower back pain, upset tummy (my tummy has not felt right for weeks!) I feel like pregnancy is giving me IBS. I know TMI! Nasal congestion in the mornings, and tightness in my stomach...the mornings are better than the evenings. By nighttime I'm over being pregnant but when I wake up in the morning I'm feeling much better and ready to continue. No stretchmarks yet! (and hopefully ever!)

Some other note worthy pregnancy items going on (it's been a productive week):

1. We scheduled two more DayCare tours for next week. Need to get back on this daycare bandwagon and figure something out. As of now we are on two waiting lists but neither of which are likely to have availability by next Feb when we need them. One of the two we are meeting with next week has availability so that's good!

2. I scheduled all of our hospital classes for mid September! We are taking a birthing/labor class, taking care of baby class, hospital tour, and infant CPR. It's a total of three 2.5hr classes during the week. I'm debating on taking the breastfeeding class...experienced mom's out there do you think I should? It's free....

3. I signed back up for Yoga!! A new yoga place opened up down the street from our house and it offers prenatal yoga classes every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays! I've been twice so far and am loving it. Just great for the aches, pains, swelling and stretches!

4. We got some disappointing nursery news :( Wallpaper guy came to give us an estimate and told me I would need 4 more rolls of the paper I want to use. At 125 dollars a roll it would cost us 725 dollars just for the wallpaper not to mention the cost for him to hang it....not happening. Guess we will be hitting up some paint samples this weekend.

5. We booked our baby moon! Marina Inn at Dunes Grande in Myrtle Beach for four days three nights! There was a groupon out there for it this week so we got a great deal. Will be mooning September 23rd to the 26th!

6. Our Dr's appt last week went well. I measured right on target and baby's heartbeat was 152. My next appt is August 9th where they will do the glugose test. After that appt I start going to the Dr. every 2 weeks instead of four. Exciting!

7. Annnnnd left of the baby to-do list is to pick out a pediatrician.

Pictures: I think I grew....what do you think? GAH and I have such a pea head!! I swear the bigger my body gets the smaller it's making my head look :( ha!

22 Weeks!

Yesterday got away from me but lucky for you I'm still 22 weeks today too :) So here goes...

Size of baby: A spaghetti squash. (where do they come up with these veggies?) But if that doesn't give you an accurate picture how about the fact that baby has hit the 1 pound mark! No more ounces...we're onto pounds yay! :)

Weight gain: Weighed myself at home the other day and I was 147 something. So 148 with 130 start weight...looking at around 18 pounds. If this stays true when I get weighed in at the Dr. next week I'll be one happy girl!

Gender: A little Hunter!! yay :)

Movement: My goodness this little guy has been moving like crazy especially last night and this morning. I feel awful saying it because I love his kicks always and they give me comfort in knowing he's doing well in there but last night I was ready for him to go to bed so I could go to bed :)

Sleep: Sleeping good!

What I miss: So I had deli meat turkey on a croissant the other day. It was good. Most all my girlfriends agreed they ate deli meat through all their pregnancies so I figured one little half a sandwhich couldn't hurt. And it didn't. Still craving a jimmy johns turkey tom sub though. Beside food def missing my old bra size these days. Purchased a whopper size of a nursing bra on Saturday...hope it lasts me until baby is born and after!

Best Moment this week: hmmmm feeling Hunter kick and being able to shop for him!!! I purchased a few outfits and sleepers along with his bedding! (Whales Won!) It's a blurry picture so if you can't tell the crib sheet is navy/white polka dots.

and a very "little boyish" overnight bag that he can pack his things in for grandma's house. Monogrammed of course :)

Big Hunter is okay with the purchases because he knows I'm just excited to know it's a boy and finally be able to buy things, but he would like me to start to take it easy. I think my initial "it's a boy" shopping sprees might be over :(

So..... as far as nursery purchases go we have the crib (PBKids kendall in white), chair (Little castle Valentino in color Riviera linen), and bedding (jackson bumper with max crib skirt and navy dot sheet) . A good start, I'd say!

Hoping this weekend Hunter gets started on putting up crown molding in the room. After that I can have the wallpaper hung and we'll really be moving along. The wallpaper I'm doing is a ivory grasscloth.

Looking forward too: A long three day weekend and nursery progress. It's fun decorating a room from scratch and picturing little Hunter in all these sweet little things :) Oh and hearing his heart beat in the next few days. I feel like it's been forever!

Cravings: None really, all food tastes pretty good these days!

Symptoms: Uncomfortableness at times...I sit with a pillow behind my back when on the couch. Nausea still in the morning. I've always felt a little sick on the drive into work in the morning. I would take a glass of water with me and drink it on the way in while sucking on a preggers pops to sooth the nausea. Last week however I was so thirsty before running out the door so I drank half a glass of water while standing in the kitchen. (no preggers pop yet) Annnnd that lasted about two seconds before it came back up in the kitchen sink. No water in morning before food or a preggers pop. Seems weird to me since its just water but it is what it is and i'm certainly not messing with it. No stretch marks still, but I do have that dark line that runs from the belly button down. Oh and my belly button is sooooo an outty :) Hunter thinks it's gross but I think its cute. ha!

Pictures: Speaking of lines and protruding belly buttons...you all want to see a nekid belly pic???? I've debated about posting this but over all it's just my stomach right!? Ok, if you do scroll down... :)

Cool or freaky?

In the next few pictures we are play hid the ball in my belly for Jake. It started because I was trying to tell him his baby brother was in there but in order to get him to even pay any attention to my stomach we had to put his ball there...haha go figure :)
