At da club... house

It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?

It's a neighborly day in this beautywood,
A neighborly day for a beauty,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?

I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?

Won't you please,
Won't you please,
Please won't you be my neighbor?

We live in the same neighborhood with 3 sets of our closest friends. It was honestly not planned….We just all happened to either fall in love with the neighborhood or found houses we loved there. When Hunter and I were house hunting last year we said we would move to the neighborhood where we found the house. Stars aligned and we just happened fall in love with a home in the same neighborhood as our friends.

Any who – it’s wonderful…we live on the 10th Hole right across the street from the club house and driving range. We are also in walking distance to the pool, gym, and central park complete with playground, pavilion, grills, soccer fields, basketball courts, and beach volleyball! The club house does kids eat free Tuesdays and $2 dollar drafts (best deal in town)! And Friday nights they have $12 dollar bottles of wine and $2 dollar drafts. It’s the perfect place for kiddos to run around too….we sit outside, enjoy the golf course view, and the Hunters can practice their short game on the practice green while we wait for our food. Hunter V is also particularly fond of rolling his cars down the big hills!

Throw meeting the neighbors into the mix and you have to drag me out of the place…I never want to leave  This past Friday was just that scenario. Hunter had a friend from College in town, we met up with neighbor Thorne’s, the kiddos played on the golf course, the vino flowed…and next thing you knew…kid’s/babies bedtime….wait what’s that?

Here’s some visuals to help you picture it better :)

Walk up to the clubhouse...

A sad attempt at taming torturing a 3yr old for a family picture :)

Won't you be my neighbor?

  3. Awe! I'm the crazy girl who teared up over this post. Seeing the pictures of our boys on the golf course -- just did it to me. Ahhh. We are so incredibly fortunate to live in the same neighborhood as our best friends. Picturing the boys, Kiara, Leigh + future babies growing up together just puts the biggest smile on my face. John and I say it every.single.day... we hit the jackpot when it comes to our friends! We love you, guys and our casual-not-planned-vino-drinking nights (and days) tougher! Can't imagine living anywhere else! Now... onto planning pumpkin pickin', choo-choo train ridin' and Christmas caroling! :) xoxo
