The Best of 2010 - A year in Review

2010 was definitely a year that will go down in history for The Lunsfords (est. 2010). :) We celebrated several new babies entering the world, a couple marriages, and lots of house projects! Here's a recap:

January I took a trip to Poughkeepsie NY to see my niece Riley Mae Melrose baptised...I'm a proud God Mother to her! :) House Project: We wallpapered our dining room and half bath downstairs and added window treatments to our office, dining room, and bedroom.

February consisted of Showers! A baby shower for my friend Melody and then on February 27th my Maid of Honor and Charlotte Bridesmaids threw me a Southern Belle themed bridal shower complete with a Pink Armadillo cake! I have GREAT FRIENDS! House Project: we replaced with wedding projects from here through May! :)

March we celebrated birthdays! My friend Jessica's 30th birthday at a bar called Mez in uptown Charlotte, the birth of Owen Belcher our friends Jason and Melody's son and then Hunters 29th birthday where we annually hit up Hooters! (THIS year is his BIG 30 and my wheels are already turning for his Hooters themed party!) House Project: we replaced with wedding projects from here through May! :)

April Hunter went to Vegas for his Bachelor party (I'm sure there are NO pictures from that weekend), I went to NY for ANOTHER bridal shower given to me by oh so generous Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids from Rochester and then together we traveled to Greenville NC for Hunter's sister's baby shower! House Project: we replaced with wedding projects from here through May! :)

May was WEDDING MONTH! First weekend in May I hit up NYC with the ladies for my bachelorette weekend and on May 15th we said "I DO" followed up with 8 luxurious nights in St. Lucia at Calabash Cove Resort & Spa. House Project: we replaced with wedding projects from here through May! :)

June we picked right back up with life and attended my girlfriend Brandy's baby shower and then welcomed 2 new babies! Our niece Reagan Elizabeth Stocks and good friend Rich and Brandy's baby Richard Michael Marelli III! House Project: I recovered a chair in our dining room, and added a family picture collage above a new table at the top of our stairs.

July we traveled up to Northern Virginia and spent the Fourth of July with my parents touring Annapolis. When we returned we threw a couples shower at our home for our good friends Nicola and Dave, and an engagement party in uptown Charlotte for our besties Kristin and Dave. House Project: Hunter began the ultimate shed project!

August we concentrated on family! We drove up to my parents in NoVA in order to spend a short weekend with my WHOLE family...including...BOTH my brothers, sister-in-laws and all our nieces. The next weekend what was supposed to be a week long vacation with Hunter's family at Pawleys Island Beach, but was cut short when Hunter's grandad "E" unexpectedly passed away. We spent the rest of the week celebrating life in Danville VA instead. House Project: My grandmother handed down to me a very old tea cart. I had it refinished and found a lovely place for it in our dining room. The shed project continued....

September was the start to football season! A trip to DC for the opening game vs. Boise State at Fed Ex field followed by a trip to VaTech for the game vs. ECU. Hunter also entered the Blues Brews and BBQ contest in Charlotte and I ran in the Hog Jog 5k! House Project: I repainted our upstairs guest bedroom and guest bathroom. Aaaaaaaaand the shed project continued....

October equaled FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL until we had a bye week Halloween weekend, where we headed up to the Mountains of Boone NC for a relaxing weekend with friends! House Project: THE DREADED SHED :)

November I took a trip to NYC to visit my Best Friend Swanny who later got engaged the following weekend! We celebrated Thanksgiving in Danville, VA with Hunters family and then watched the Hokies cream UVA with both our families :) House Project: The shed project turned into the garage project as we began to empty the garage and filled up the new shed.

December - and how did we get here soooooooooo quickly? The holiday season was made Merry with an ACC Championship win by the HOkies in Charlotte. Then of course there was our Dirty Santa Christmas party and Christmas weekend spent up in Northern Virginia with my parents. House Project: Hunter finished off our garage by adding walls, molding, and painting the garage floor! The shed is STILL not complete.... :) The outside needs to be painted and inside organized.

Wow, I'm sort of thinking.... what do we need to blog throughout the year for, I can just do one big blog post at the end of every year :) Regardless, Time flies when your having fun and the number one reason I do blog is to record memories. It's nice to be able to look back and see when, where, and what we were up to at different times in our lives. It's also nice to be able to write down and organize my thoughts when I feel like my heads about to explode. An organizational tool, a creative outlet, and a memory book! .....I need to start printing out my posts and saving them some how. Gosh forbid google crashed one day and in a blink all of this was gone. Do you all back up your blogs somehow???

CHEERS! To 2011 and making more memories!!!!
